Just When You Thought It Would Be Safe

The President comes to Denver and signs the stimulus bill and the stock market drops over 300 points to a point not seen in five years.

The auto companies come out with new requests for bailout money. That is a huge joke. They could be bailed out until the cows come home and it will not help unless people buy cars. The people will not buy cars for many months or maybe even years. I think that the automakers think this is some kind of entitlement program. Social security for car manufacturers.

And the most critical thing is that the state of California is broke and is $42 billion behind the curve today. The Democrats want to raise taxes and cut services to catch up. The Republicans want to reduce taxes and let the free market fix the problem. I guess the Republicans still don't know that the free market is gone and that cutting taxes never did work except for the rich guys.

Great comedy relief to watch their legislators discuss how they have had to stay at the capitol 24 hours a day for the past week.

Where is the Terminator when you really need him?

If California was a stand alone country it would be the 8th largest economy in the world. Imagine that? Now take a look at the size of their problem. g
