Driving to class last night around 7 p.m. I saw a lone Red Tailed Hawk sitting on a long stretch of wire between two poles on State Highway Nine near Breckenridge. The Hawk was the master of its domain. The older I get the more sensitive I am to wildlife and take a lot of pride in viewing wildlife in their natural habitat. I also wonder about the thousands of people who drive the same path that I do every day and never see a thing except the rear bumper of the car in front. What a shame. I am just glad that I don't do that anymore.
